Next week there will not be a CTT issue! I’m going to be practicing what I preach and take a much needed week off to recharge. There will however be prescheduled content for consumption between my podcast and YouTube channel.
See you soon!
My Thought for the Week 💭
I tend to take a lot of my work ethic lessons and values from sports and apply them to a few of my life goals I actively work towards.
This probably sounds weird given I am not an athlete by any means but let’s just roll with it.
Kobe Bryant is a top 10 hall of fame basket ball player in the NBA of all time.
He is always brought into this discussion of topic and has the accolades to prove it with 5 NBA championship titles, 2 NBA Finals MVP awards, and so many more that would take up another paragraph if I tried to list them all out!
Kobe doesn’t have these awards because he was “physically gifted” or because he was just really good at basketball. There are many players that are amazing at the sport but most will probably never have the same success as him.
Kobe was passionate about improving his craft and was disciplined enough to constantly be doing the work that no one else wanted to do.
It’s easy to try something for few times and when you’re not getting the immediate success you were hoping for you give up.
One of the main reasons? You’re probably not disciplined enough.
No, discipline does not mean you need to burn yourself out trying to churn out content at all waking hours.
Discipline comes in the form of improving on one thing at a time until you’ve mastered it. It comes in the form of publishing one piece of a content on a weekly schedule. It comes in the form of cutting out or limiting distractions that are just sucking up too much of your time and energy.
If you really want to be great at something, especially in the creator economy space, you need to be willing to improve over time, make the sacrifices, and create an environment of discipline.
All of course in a healthy way. 🌱
Stay safe and hydrated out there,
Miko
Creator Quote of the Week 🗣️
“Creative work is incredibly fulfilling...
But we can all lose steam
To get back on track:
Remember why you started
Find joy in what you’re creating
Take smaller steps
Give yourself time to rest
Write half as much
Go with your energy flow”
Making content and even working towards making this a full-time thing in the long run always excites me.
Though at the same time it is very easy to be hustling away on so many projects at a time and feel the burnout coming on if you don’t give yourself time to step away.
With a traditional 9-5 there are hard stops for the amount of work you have to do. Depending on the job, it’ll 3-5 days out of the week with some days off.
With content creation there is really no hard stop unless you set up those boundaries for yourself.
Per Samantha’s tweet, I always try to remember why I started all of these projects and why I love them so much.

A cool tweet I found 🐦
As a creative introvert myself I love coming across fellow introverted creators that share their experiences! In this thread Ondrej shares some advice on how you can grow from 0 to 100 followers from scratch.
