My Thought for the Week 💭
The hardest, most time-consuming tasks when it comes to video creation is scripting the story and editing the entire video itself.
It’s because of the amount of work and time that’s involved with these processes that I’m often afraid to even get started, and start to feel physical pain at the thought of doing something I know I really don’t want to do.
Leading to me doing a bunch of other meaningless tasks that aren’t a major priority while the real work waits for me in the background.
That my friends is called procrastination.
Even the most hard working person you know probably suffers from it - it’s really difficult to avoid, but not impossible to challenge when those feelings come up.
Here are some ways I’ve combatted procrastionation to get more work done and how you can do the same:
The 2 Minute Rule
Time yourself to do just 2 minutes of work on something and usually you’ll get in the flow of just wanting to continue to get the task over with.
Pomodoro Method
This one is a classic method in which you time yourself for 25 minutes of pure work, then have a 5 minute break, and rinse and repeat. Here’s a YouTube video that’s helped me out with this.
Set Deadlines
This can be easier said than done, especially if what we’re working on isn’t a work or school related task, we have to hold ourselves accountable. From the perspective of a YouTuber, I’ve just set a strict deadline of having one video published every single week. Not having a date attached to the deadline reduces some stress on my end.
Accountability Buddies
Having someone hold you accountable is really effective! This could be working with a friend or co-worker once a week at a set time, or what I’ve been using excessively: Focusmate. I just have a virtual accountability buddy for any time of the day and it’s helped me get a ton of work done.

Creator Quote of the Week 🗣️
“Maintaining decent results in many areas might be preventing you from achieving phenomenal results in one.” - Thomas Frank
As you’ve probably noticed, I have not published many issues of the newsletter recently.
Not because I’ve gotten bored of writing or sharing my thoughts - I’ve just been focused on improving my YouTube channel.
Since starting up this creative lifestyle I noticed that my attention was being pulled in way too many directions, so much so that my work in most areas would come out subpar.
Now however, since purely focusing on my YouTube channel strategy my videos are ranking higher than they ever have before.
You can always go back to working on other areas once one of them is taken care of and can function on its own, which I expect for my channel later on in the coming months.

Whether you want to continue to have a full-time job or become a full-time creator in the future, it’s always good to consider how you can make more than one source of income.
It just takes a bit of hard work and strategy.
